On 13 February 2019, Vice Minister of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development Hoang Van Thang and his delegation visited Ban Lai Reservoir Project Site in Khuat Xa Commune, Loc Binh District, Lang Son Province for the inspection of construction progress and Works quality.
Ban Lai Water Reservoir Project owned by Water Resource Construction and Investment Management Board No. 2. In stage 1, the project consists of a head structure work of Grade 2 which including concrete Dam, Spillway with the flood discharge Qtk851 m3/s and the water intake dimension of 3,5 x 3,5 m2 of the total investment approximately VND 3000 billion. The target of project is flood reduction, water provision for industry and daily life. At estimate, the project will be completed in the beginning of 2021. The package for civil works of main works was awarded to Song Da 5 JSC Consortium. After over 03 months of construction implementation, until now, over 95% of main works foundation excavation volume has been completed; as for concreting work, bottom slab has been placed; installation work of RCC & CVC batching plant has been completed and under preparation work to be ready for main dam RCC placement.
After site inspection and the report on construction progress and quality of Mr. Tran Van Lang – Director of Water Resource Construction and Investment Management Board No. 2 and Mr. Nguyen Dac Diep, Deputy General Director of Song Da 5 Joint Stock Company as Consortium Representative, Vice Minister of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development Hoang Van Thang express a high appreciation of working spirit of the whole engineers and workers on site, in addition to his acknowledge of project implementation progress and quality. He thought that Ban Lai Reservoir to be an important project to realize the dream of many generations as well as contribute to improve the life of local people. Therefore, the Employer and Song Da 5 JSC Consortium were required to take advantage of his previous experiences and technologies to adopt into construction and installation to ensure the project progress and quality meet the requirements.
Vice Minister Hoang Van Thang required the Employer to follow all construction investment procedures and regulations; All contractors had to promote their experiences and comply with technical specifications and construction sequence to ensure safety for manpower and properties during installation and construction.
Representative of Main Contractor – Song Da 5 JSC Consortium and the Supervision Consultant expressed their determination to organize well construction activities and be active in construction implementation to comply with the project specification. In addition, all engineers would strictly monitor and supervise the project quality to ensure working safety and environmental hygiene and complete the project on time.
