(EVN) In the morning of 28th February, in Lai Chau HPP (Nam Nhun District, Lai Chau province), the steering committee of cooperation competition movement for the construction of Lai Chau HPP organized the summary conference for the cooperation competition movement of 2015 and launches the competition campaign in 2016.
Many technical innovations
Mr. Bui Phuong Nam, Deputy Director of Management Board of Son La HPP said that: In 2015, contractors had participated in the site campaign actively. Especially, on 23rd May 2015, Vietnam Electricity Corporation, Song Da Corporation and other units solemnly organized: A celebration for the completion of RCC Dam” gaining 1,984million m3 RCC in the duration of 26 months, reducing cost for the project, boosting the progress of project. On 20th June 2015, EVN and contractors held the celebration for the closure of diversion culvert complying with the quality and safety standard
Especially, the civil workers and electrical technicians (National power transmission Corporation) achieved a striking advance in Tay Bac land when 500 kV Son La – Lai Chau transmission line has been finished ahead schedule of 15 days.
Contractors in Lai Chau HPP sign the competition agreement
The Managing Director of Lai Chau HPP, Mr. Vu Hong Truong had 5 innovations in which: “The change of unloading yard of Crane S 1.000”, “The measure of preventing water of diversion channel” “Changing the excavation methodology”, “The transportation at pumping cabinet foundation of unit 1”. This innovation has shortened the time of handing over the layout plan of concrete construction in unit 3 ahead the schedule in 15 days, achieving over 1 billion benefits. From the cooperation competition movements, many technical innovations have been applied in reality by individuals; maximizing the benefits of a lot of VND billions for the enterprises. Song Da 908 JSC had 6 technical innovations, in which the idea of humidifying system to maintain and make cool for RCC concrete” created 3 billion profit per year.
Mr. Nguyen Van Vu who is the project manager of Song Da 5 JSC in Lai Chau HPP had the innovation: Fabrication of hammer head and chipping concrete surface” that makes profits of 8 billion for the enterprise. The deputy director of Song Da 506 subsidiary, Mr. Ngo Van Manh had the theme: Improvement of the truss of big plate formwork that makes benefit of 6 VND billion.
Especially, Power Construction No 1 JSC had lots of inventions in design such as the design and allocation of RCC blocks with the width of 16,7 – 24 meters. The work allocation allows the continual construction of RCC blocks and calculation of cracks in RCC dam so that it can reduce the number of cracks on dam.
The company also has calculated the formation of cracks in CVC concrete, high grade concrete M 400 B12 as a result of setting up the suitable maintenance measures, the requests of mineralization factors of cement that allow the increase of concrete placement volume, shorten placement time between layers so that ensuring schedule, quality of concrete without the cracks even at high grade M 400 B 12 that hasn’t been implemented in Son La HPP yet.
Power Engineering Consulting No 1 JSC proposed the construction of RCC concrete at diversion canal in one season from Dec 2014 to May 2015 that have been approved (instead of 2 years applied in Son La HP that is the base to shorten the general schedule of one year).
Continual competition for the completion of Unit 2 and Unit 3
Continuing the achievement in 2015 at the site of Lai Chau HPP, the steering committee of cooperation competition movement of 2016 set up the goal to complete the operation roads in May 2016; complete the landscaping items in June 2016, generating unit 2 before 30th June 2016, Generating Unit 3 before 30th November 2016 and complete all work in December 2016.
To complete the above mentioned goals, the steering committee had allocated specific tasks for each member in the committee, standing sectors of steering committee to follow the assigned work closely, supervise the progress milestones in 2016, active cooperation with leaders of Management Board and EPC Management Board to perform the competition movement, organize the regular meetings to evaluate the situation and effectiveness of the movement, propsosing methodologies to assign tasks closely with the reality.
Throughout the competitive movement, advanced personnel shall be discovered and encouraged for performance: the consideration of regular and irregular rewards, the summary of competitive campaign in 2016; to encourage and give rewards to the units and personnel having excellent achievement in the competition campaign; create the exciting atmosphere in the whole site and complete the schedule milestone approved by the national steering committee.

from Prime Minister and Ministries, Branches, localities.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Mai Duc Chinh – Vice president of Vietnam Labor Union cum the Chief of competition movement in the site of Lai Chau HPP appreciated the attempt and effort of officers, engineers, and staff working all day at site.
In 2015, there were 4000 officers, engineers and workers at the site of Lai Chau HPP, in spite of harsh weather, they still work hard all day and night to generate unit 1 ahead the proposed schedule. It is the result of cooperation competition movement at the site” Mr. Mai Duc Chinh confirmed.
At the conference, Vice President of Vietnam Labor Union cum the head of steering Committee had launched the special campaign: “330 days and nights to complete all items of Lai Chau HPP ensuring quality, economical efficiency, safety and ahead the progress.”
