Lai Chau Hydropower Plant, located on Da River, is the highest hydroelectric terrace in the mail flow on Da River and it will be the last hydropower to be constructed in Da River after Hoa Binh Hydropower and Son La Hydropower came into operation.
The Employer - EVN and the General Contractor – Song Da Corporation signed the contract of Package XL01, Lai Chau Hydropower Plant with the contract value of 11,000 Billion VND on May, 13th 2013.

Song Da 5 - Subsidiary of Song Da Corporation is responsible for the civil work of Powerhouse, Penstock, Intake and production and supply of Rolled Compacted Concrete (RCC). Total Conventional Vibrated Concrete (CVC) quantity is 400,000 m3 and RCC is 2,100,000 m3. Value of Song Da 5 ‘s scope of work is 5,000 Billion VND. In three years, the mobilization and installation of all construction equipment has been completed. RCC production system of Song Da 5 shall be responsible for producing 2.1 million m3 RCC concrete, equivalent to 4.2 thousand Billion VND. Song Da 5’s engineers and workers in Lai Chau site shall create high growth and increased profits from the second Quarter/2013.
